The devices RDC-02, RDC-03, RDC-04, RDC-05, RDC-06 are intended for complex protection and control of three-phase asynchronous motors of 3 (220/380)V (including submersible pumps) with indication of the reasons of accidents, information transfers on control offices, automatic repeated start-up and a possibility of automatic input of a reserve and duplication.

The presented model range allows to protect asynchronous motors from the following consequences:

  • small current overloads for a long time;
  • big impulse overloads;
  • excess of level of asymmetry of phase currents;
  • underrunning;
  • excess of supply voltage (except RDTs-02);
  • decrease of supply voltage (except RDTs-02);
  • earth current;
  • wrong (return) phase rotation before start-up (except RDTs-02);
  • reduction of insulation resistance of electric motor before start-up;
  • sticking effect of starter before start-up;
  • phase break;
  • inadmissible temperature increase of the motor case.

At the same time, except protective functions, the relay has a possibility of monitoring of the following parameters:

  • supply current in each phase (IA, IB, IC);
  • network voltage in each phase (UA, UB, UC) (except RDTs-02);
  • network frequency;
  • current temperature of electric motor;
  • asymmetry size of of phase currents;
  • earth current;
  • insulation resistance of electric motor before start-up;
  • value of equivalent of thermal energy;
  • total life cycle of electric motor;
  • cosφ of electric motor (RDTs-04 and RDTs-06 only);
  • active power of electric motor (RDTs-04 and RDTs-06 only);
  • reactive power of electric motor (RDTs-04 and RDTs-06 only);
  • gross power of electric motor (RDTs-04 and RDTs-06 only).

All devices of this series have:

  • Three output relays:
         - the first relay has one make contact and one change-over contact (it is intended for switching on of starter of electric motor);
         - the second relay ("Overloading") has one make contact (it is turned on at a current overload and can serve for the alarm system about motor overload;
         - the third relay "Emergency" has one make contact (the relay are maked after shutdown of output relay because of emergency and can serve for the alarm system or for start of the reserve motor.
  • The input "Start-up" for remote control (it allows to combine operation of several RDTs devices).
  • Possibility of work with 2-speed motors (there are an adjustment parameter of the current of the second step and control input).
  • Possibility of shutdown of some protective functions (it allows the consumer to adjust flexibly the protection taking into account motor service conditions).
  • Controlled time of a delay before the first start-up that doesn’t allow to start several motors at the same time.

Besides, RDC-04 and RDC-06 have an opportunity:

  • Control and data transmission about a relay condition by means of the RS485 interface (Modbus RTU protocol) on control office;
  • Preservation of accidents history in a chronological order and also the measured data on each accident;

There is a possibility of sencors connection in modifications for submersible pumps (RDC-05 and RDC-06):

  • sencor of emergency level;
  • sencor of the top level;
  • sencor of the lower level;
  • sencor of the dry course;
  • sencor of flooding.

Purpose of devices

  • RDC-02 - current relay with operational power supply (it can be used for the electric motor protection 0,4/6/10 kV);
  • RDC-03 - universal protection of common industrial motors with the most necessary set of protection functions;
  • RDC-04 - universal protection of common industrial motors; carries out monitoring of all current parameters remotely; reads out information from the magazine where working and emergency events are fixed (up to 100); operates output relays and controls current state RDC by means of RS485 using Modbus RTU protocol and software "Relsis motor config", which is included in delivery package; it has an expanded set of protection functions and service;
  • RDC-05 - universal protection of motors of deep pumps and pump stations with the most necessary set of functions of protection and inputs for connection of sensors of emergency, top, lower levels, the dry course, flooding for implementation of automatic inflating or pumping out of liquid, filling/depletion of the tank bulks, etc.;
  • RDC-06 - universal protection of motors of deep pumps and pump stations; carries out remote control of a condition of all current parameters and sensors; reads out information from the log (up to 100); operates the motor via the RS485 interface under the Modbus RTU protocol and software "Relsis motor config"; also switches on/switches off the motor on the timer; has an expanded set of functions and service


SUZD - the stations of control of electric motors

On the basis of the protection devices of the RDC series the stations of control of electric motors are made at the enterprise. The stations are intended for work with the three-phase asynchronous motors 550 W – 350 kW of various producers. The stations are made according to various schemes with a possibility of a full complete set of electric equipment. They are intended for automatic and manual control, automation, scheduling and also in various systems of water supply where asynchronous motors are used.
